    2. Remember the melodies for the Torah trope phrases.
    3. Practice Hebrew reading.
    4. In the first weeks of sixth grade, we'll review Torah trope – and do Torah readings at fall youth services.

    • Passed a couple of people on a couple of trope phrases.

    • Talked about learning the readings as a process, one step at a time, to seem less daunting (to those still struggling).

    • Gave out June readings, for June 11th TnT.

    • Worked with each student for a few minutes on their March readings.
    • Reminded they need to pass their March readings next Sunday (on March 13).
    • There will be one more reading, for June. Assignments listed to the right. Will be handed out next Sunday.

    • Worked with each student for a few minutes on their March readings.
    • Reminded there's just two weeks left until need to pass March readings (on March 13).
    • There will be one more reading, for June. Will assign in mid-March.

    What we did -- 21 Feb

    • Answered questions about March Torah readings.
      Half the class didn't have their readings, again, so I couldn't help them.
    • Reviewed all Torah trope. Several passed phrases (see scoreboard below).
      We've now introduced everything except Pazer.
    • Reminded they have just two more classes to get help, before they must pass their readings in three weeks, on March 13th.
    • A couple of students said they haven't started on their March readings; which they've had since December!

    • Reviewed readings with each individual who had their materials. (Most did this time; thank you!)
    • Ensured each student knows next steps, and practiced a piece of them with teacher.
    • Reminded they have just three more classes to get help, before they must pass their readings on March 13th.

    • Introduced/reviewed several Group 3 trope melodies (Gershayim, Zakef Gadol).
    • Reviewed importance of having class materials (trope sheet, March Torah reading) to do actual practice in (and between) classes.
    • Reminded they have just six more weeks. Some making good progress, most haven't started.
